Our Take

Best for: Audiophiles, music lovers, and gamers seeking an open-back soundstage.

The Sennheiser HD 505 delivers the brand's signature transparent audio with a laminate diaphragm that brings out detail in every track. The open-back design creates a wide, airy soundstage ideal for critical listening, gaming, or long work sessions. Velour ear pads and a lightweight headband make extended use comfortable. Bass is controlled rather than overpowering, so if you prefer heavy low-end, these may not be the best choice. 5mm plug) is standard but limits replacement options. 95, this is a solid value for audiophiles seeking Sennheiser quality without breaking the bank.

Price Analysis

At $179.95, the HD 505 is 19% off its original price of $222.65. This beats the 30-day average of $222.65, the 90-day average of $221.04, and the 180-day average of $236.70. It's a strong discount, making now a good time to buy.
