Our Take

Best for: Apartment renters and pet owners with a mix of carpet and hard floors.

The Shark Rocket HV301 is the vacuum you grab for a ten-minute cleanup rather than a whole-house deep session. It weighs under 9 lbs, so carrying it up a flight of stairs or around a couch is not a workout. The floor nozzle sits low enough to slide under beds and tables, and swivel steering gets it around chair legs without shoving furniture out of the way. Because it runs on a cord, suction stays the same from the first minute to the last, which is the main reason people still buy corded sticks. The 2-in-1 design is the real selling point. Pop the wand off and you have a handheld with tools for pet hair on upholstery, stair treads, and car seats. Carpets get a decent pass and hard floors pick up fine debris without scattering it. The tradeoffs are honest ones: the cord ties you to an outlet, and the dust cup fills quickly if you are cleaning a large carpeted room or a house with shedding dogs. 99 the HV301 lands well under its recent averages. For an apartment, a dorm, or a second vacuum kept upstairs, this is a straightforward buy.

Price Analysis

At $109.99 the HV301 is $40.22 below the 30-day average of $150.21 and $52 below the 90-day average of $161.97. It also undercuts the 180-day average of $144.29, making this the lowest price the model has carried in that stretch. This is a good moment to buy if you want corded stick power without paying flagship money.

Common Questions

Does the Shark Rocket HV301 work on carpet and hard floors?

Yes. The floor nozzle is built for both surfaces, digging into carpet pile while staying gentle on hardwood, tile, and laminate.

Does it need a battery or charging time?

No. It runs on corded power, so suction stays constant for as long as you clean and there is nothing to recharge between rooms.

Is it good at picking up pet hair?

Yes. The included tools plus strong suction lift pet hair off couches, stairs, and upholstery, and the bagless cup empties without you touching the debris.
