Best for: Fans of classic survival horror games
Daymare 1998 is a love letter to 90s survival horror, blending retro mechanics with Unreal Engine 4 visuals. The story unfolds through three characters, offering different perspectives on a zombie outbreak. Enemies are grotesque and can be dismembered, adding a satisfying layer to combat. The realistic HUD - displayed on a piece of gear - keeps you immersed, but resource management is tight, and save points are few. 10, it's a solid buy for genre fans, though the classic gameplay might frustrate those used to modern conveniences. If you miss fixed camera angles and tank controls, this is your game.
